This piano has a tradtionally-styled oak case, with plinth legs, and its height is nicely proportioned for a medium sized instrument. Bentley pianos are now produced in China but this example was made in Woodchester Mill, Stroud, before the UK company folded. They were a huge operation and produced some excellent, extremely good value for money pianos using a well-established workforce with high level craft skills in piano manufacture. This example has a deep, rich tone and a medium-weight, responsive touch. There’s plenty of sonority and the design benefits from a long music desk and a third 'celeste' pedal that muffles the sound if quiet playing is needed. There's also a short prop for the top lid if more sound is needed. This is a well-made piano, with an excellent British-made 'Langer 80' action, that will provide reliable service for many decades ahead. It is in mint condition and at an affordable price. It is suitable for players of all levels and its versatility means that it sounds great whatever the style of music played on it.
