This is a traditionally styled piano by the foremost British piano manufacturer. Broadwood's have the Royal Warrant and have made pianos 'by appointment' since the 18th century. This example has very stylish 'fiddle-back' mahogany veneer (which is difficult to capture in the pictures) and we have French-polished the case to bring it back to life. The action has been reconditioned throughout and the original ivory keys recovered. The tone is rich and warm, with a good singing treble sound and a sonorous bass. This is a well-made instrument with a sophisticated sound which is capable of a wide range of colour and dynamic contrast. It would suit players up to advanced level.
